ABOUT WANDERLIGHT

I’m not your ordinary photographer — I capture moments that whisper stories, shine with soul, and stand still in time.

People often think a photo is taken with a camera — but to me, it’s not. Taking pictures is about capturing beauty, whatever that might mean to you. And when I take a photo, I’m really capturing light. You pull it straight from the sky… and I guess, when I’m behind the lens, I draw that light out of whoever’s standing in front of me.

When I take photos, I know I can’t capture something that isn’t mine. It’s something we create together. Something that simply wouldn’t exist if we weren’t both present in that moment.

To me, taking a photo is like capturing a single moment in time and making it live forever.

The Heart Behind Wanderlight

At the heart of who I am is my faith in God — my first love, my anchor, and the reason I’m able to face life with hope and gratitude. I love my family deeply and treasure the kind of friendships that feel like home. I’ve always been a quiet soul, a little shy and happy to stay in my own space, but I carry a deep passion for making people feel happy, seen, and cared for. Bringing light to others, even in small and simple ways, is something that fills me with joy.

I feel most alive outdoors, surrounded by nature, animals, and wide open skies. There’s a peace in creation that reminds me daily of God’s goodness.

A year ago, I picked up my camera not knowing where it would lead me. Since then it’s been a journey of growth, lessons, joy, and—if I’m honest—a few battles too. There were moments I doubted myself, moments I had to push through, and so many moments where God showed up clearly with the right people and the right opportunities.

Somewhere in the middle of all of that, Wanderlight was born — a little name that reminds me of wonder, of chasing light, and of finding beauty in places I never expected. And truly… it has been a wonder.

Through everything, this passion has only deepened. I still can’t believe I get to do something I love this much. I’m grateful for every challenge and every season I’ve walked through, because each one has shaped me into someone stronger, softer, and more thankful for the blessings I have today.

Here’s to a year that stretched me — and to another one that I pray will grow me even more.
